Directions to Pompei

Pompei is located on the Near West Side and is close to the Blue Line, CTA bus stops, and the
290 and 90/94 Expressways. If you would like to use public transportation, expect a 20 minute
travel time from the loop and approximately an hour from the O’Hare area.
CTA Bus Options:
- CTA bus #37 Sedgwick Ogden (take it Southbound from the loop) will drop you off directly in front of Pompei (Taylor & Laflin).
- CTA bus #9 Ashland will take you to the corner of Ashland and Taylor, 20 feet away from Pompei.
Blue Line Options:
- From the Loop and O’Hare areas, take the blue line to either Racine (either Forest Park or Cermak trains stop at Racine) or Polk (Cermak train only). If you stop at Racine, you will need to walk 0.3 SE to Pompei. If you stop at Polk, you can either walk 0.3 miles SE to Pompei or take CTA bus #37 Northbound to Pompei.
Expressway:
- From O’Hare/Northwest Suburbs, Take 90/94 East to Exit #50A at Ogden Ave.
- Bear Right on N. Racine for 0.1 mile.
- Bear Right on N. Ogden for 1 mile, continue West on Ogden.
- Bear Left on S. Ashland for 1 mile.
- Turn Left onto W. Taylor.
- From West Suburbs, Take 290 East to the Ashland Exit.
- Head South on Ashland. Turn Left on Taylor.
Parking:
- Pompei has Free Parking behind the restaurant. Also, there are inexpensive meters on Taylor Street.
